Living in Izmir for four months on exchange was awesome. Izmir has a lot of great restaurants, bars and clubs right on the seaside. Nears lots of beaches! On time off I got to travel around Turkey and also through central and eastern Europe.

Bogazici is a great place to study considering its location, environment and academic excellence, especially in social and political sciences. There're several student clubs for every interest and these work quite professionally. The main campus overlooks the amazing Bosphorus view, which is great to hang out …

The reason for choosing Hacettepe is that I've heard, that it is one of the best universities in Turkey and we had some guest students from Hacettepe one year ago, who told me, that they like studying there, although Ankara isn't the most beautiful city. Another advantage of Ankara is that it is the capital, …

I came to Yasar University as an exchange student and liked my classes there a lot. My professors were really interesting and really got me into the subject of international relations. I wanted to go to Turkey because it is not one of the usual places to go for exchange.

The only downside of the university is the limited personal attention by the staff to the students. As this is a public university, it has limited resources and facilities compared to some private universities in Istanbul. As an international student, you might need to do most of the getting-to-know-around …

The dormitory is excellent, and cheap (90-120 Euros/Month). You can also rent a flat or share one in the city center for about 120-200 Euros per month. Courses in Finance are serious, you can also start to learn Lithuanian and Russian. Library is rich and diversified, teachers are very close to the students …
